This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or obtain an official booking record for you. Contact the office that maintains the record.
Choose the Record Office
A county jail release, court order, state-prison discharge, and federal custody change are held by different agencies. Use the contact tied to the event instead of asking one office to interpret another office’s record.

The correct starting points are:
- For a Lake County jail departure or release sheet, call Jail Records or send a specific public-record request to the sheriff.
- For the legal reason behind release, search Common Pleas for felonies or the proper Mentor, Painesville, or Willoughby Municipal Court.
- For a sentenced Ohio prisoner or APA supervision, use ODRC’s offender search and Central Records.
- For an upcoming custody-change alert, use Ohio VINE while the person remains in custody.
- For a sentenced federal prisoner, use the Bureau of Prisons; use the federal docket and holding facility for USMS pretrial custody.
- For immigration custody, use the ICE locator and the proper Enforcement and Removal Operations office.
